The Tweed and Annan are both world-class grayling fisheries with a good number of fish over 2lb and some fine specimens of 3lb plus, occasionally even bigger, if you know where to look and what tactics work best for this great sporting fish.

A member of the salmon family, tymallus tymallus can provide great sport the year round, though March and April is when they usually spawn and should be left in peace. But through deepest winter, summer and autumn just get in touch to discover what great fishing these ladies of the stream can provide. Generally much less likely to be spooked than wild trout they can offer the perfect introduction to fly-fishing for beginners but can be just as challenging as any other game fish when it comes to catching real specimens.
