trout fishing

I must confess to being a wild trout obsessive. Luckily Scotland is a fine place to live for such an affliction. We’re not short of options here and you can forget about the common perception of Scotland being full of dark wee troot at four to the pound. Admittedly there are plenty of these around but there is also an almost exhaustive number of rivers and lochs where seriously good wild brown trout swim. Having spent the best part of 30 years pursuing them, from the lowland Borders rivers like Annan, Tweed and Clyde where I’ve grown up and am still based, to the lochs of the far north and the islands, where I regularly travel.

Packages to suit all levels of experience and skill levels, from beginner courses to off the beaten track adventures for serious wild trout anglers looking to catch the fish of a lifetime.

Season: mid-March to September.
